Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET 2017) conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of Government of Andhra Pradesh. The test will be based on the pattern of National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC. The test will be conducted for the recruitment of the assistant professor or lecturer posts in government colleges and universities in AP in 31 subjects for which UGC had granted permission. This year, Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET 2017) notification was released on March 19th, 2017. Now, The online application process of APSET 2017 commenced on March 30th and the Last date for Submission is May 10, 2017.
The syllabus prescribed by UGC-CSIR and UGC-NET for paper-I, Paper-II and paper-III without negative marks be adopted for APSET. The question paper-I which is common for all the candidates appearing APSET will be bilingual (English & Telugu). The question paper-II and paper-III will be bi-lingual for specific subjects viz; 1. Commerce 2. Economics 3. Education 4. History 5. Political Science 6. Public Administration 7. Sociology and 8. Social Work. The question paper-II and paper-III of all other subjects (except Languages) will be in English only.
Over 40 thousand candidates have appeared for the exam on 30th July and waiting for the keys. Now, The official keys of APSET 2017 are available on official website. With the official release of APSET 2017 answer key, the authority has also opened the objection submission window. if a candidate has any objection with regard to the key of any paper, he/ she can raise the objection by submitting the same through email (email@example.com). The candidates must submit the objection accompanied with substantial evidence (documentary), justification and proof of writing the examination i.e. scanned copies of admit card. The objections against APSET 2017 key should be submitted on or before 5 pm on 15th August. Subject Experts decision in this matter is final.

- All the candidates are advised to take a printout of the same for future reference.
For eligibility, the candidates must secure at least 40% aggregate marks in all 3 papers. For reserved categories (SC, ST, BC and PwD), the qualifying marks will be 35%. For the first time, 6% of the appearing candidates would be declared qualified for eligibility for the posts of Assistant Professors and lecturers, based on the UGC’s new directions.
