The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will start the registration process for CA Common Proficiency Test (CPT) from April 4 at icaiexam.icai.org. The exam is scheduled to held on June 17, 2018, at 196 different exam centres in India and five overseas exam centres. The exam will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be conducted from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second session will be conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Every year, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts Common Proficiency Test (CPT), Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence – IPC) and the Final Examinations twice a year (CPT-June & December, Intermediate-May & November, Final Examination-May & November).
Applications for admission to Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is required to apply online at the official website by April 26, 2018 (without late fees) and upto May 3, 2018 with a late fee of Rs. 600 for those who will appear at Indian exam centres and in Kathmandu. For all other overseas exam centres late fee is 10 dollars.
The exam fee is required to be submitted online by using either credit /debit card. The fees payable for the Common Proficiency Test is Rs 1000 for centres in India while Rs 1700 for centres in Kathmandu (Nepal). CA aspirants have to shell out $300 for centres in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai and Muscat.
