Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2017 for 1400 Officers Posts – Online Registration Begins


Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2017 : IB Recruitment 2017 the online registrations for India’s internal intelligence agency, Intelligence Bureau (IB) for 1430 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade II/ Executive started today. In order apply for the recruitment, Aspirants must have completed graduation and must be in the age group of 18-27 years. Candidates should also have brigther knowledge of computers. As per Recruitment notification Candidates can expect a pay scale of Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800 plus a grade pay of Rs 4,200 (PB-2) with admissible central government allowances. The online application is divided into two parts. Part-I relates to the personal, academic and other particulars of the candidate and Part-II relates to the payment of exam fee, wherever applicable

Last Date to Apply Online: 02.09.2017
Date of Tier-I Exam: 15th October 2017
Date of Tier-II Exam: 7th January 2017

Age Criteria for IB recruitment 2017 :

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 27 Years.
Age Relaxation is applicable as per the rules of the Government of India.

Educational Qualification for IB recruitment 2017 :

Candidates must complete Bachelor Degree or equivalent from a recognized university and have computer Knowledge.

Pay Scale for IB recruitment 2017 :

Rs. 9,300 – Rs. 34, 800/– + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.(PB-2) [under revision as per recommendation of 7th C.P.C.]


Paper pattern:

  • The selection process will take place in three stages— Stage 1 objective-type exam of 100 marks, Stage 2 descriptive exam of 50 marks followed by an interview round of 100 marks.
  • Stage 1 will include 25 questions of 1 mark each on general awareness, quantitative aptitude, logical/analytical ability and English language. Candidates will have an hour to answer these questions.
  • Stage 2 will include an essay on one of the give topics for 30 marks and a section of English comprehension and précis writing for 20 marks. Here too, candidates will have 60 minutes to answer all questions.
