The 25-year-old director Ravikanth, who has stunned the industry and moviegoers alike in one swift stroke with Kshanam, has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend in Chennai on Saturday. His girlfriend is Veena Ghantasala dubbing artiste and singer. The gala event, which had many well-known names from T-town making an attendance, saw the duo exchange garlands in a traditional Hindu ceremony.
Ravikanth Perepu was born and brought up in Vizag. Right from his childhood days, he was always inclined towards films. ” After watching Mani Ratnam’s Sakhi, I decided to make films and revealed the same to my family. They asked me to complete my engineering first and then think about film making.” he said in an interview.
Later, he knew Adivi Sesh through Facebook and came to Hyderabad from his hometown Vizag in 2012, worked as an assistant director in K.I.S.S. He kept in touch with Adivi and one fine day, he narrated this concept and both penned down the story of Kshanam.
Sharing his love story, Ravikanth says, “I fell in love the moment I saw her. We met on the sets of Kshanam when I was looking for a dubbing artiste for my film’s leading lady Adah Sharma. Soon, we began to interact frequently and after a couple of years, I proposed to her. She did not agree immediately but took her time to say yes. Soon we convinced both our parents for the marriage, and things went well.”
Veena Ghantasala is the exciting new name that has emerged in the field of dubbing. Very few know that she is the grand daughter of legendary singer Ghantasala and the daughter of noted dubbing artist Ratna Kumar. Veena is a trained singer, and is the new flavor of Tollywood dubbing artists.
