Telugu Film Chamber Strike from 1st March 2018 will effect Big-Budget Films

Telugu Film Industry has called for a shut down of the industry from March 1st, 2018. Film Chamber of Commerce has given a statement in this regard. A notice has been sent by the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to the Telugu Film Producers Council stating that they have unanimously decided to shut all theatres down and stop film screenings in Telangana starting March 1, 2018.

During this time all 24 crafts will be shut down. The reason that they have stated for this shocking decision is their suffering due to monopolization by the Digital Service Providers and non-compliance with the chamber during releases through Dsp’s, i.e, UFO, Qube, Pxd and Scrabble.

Though the statement has mentioned that these DSPs are not going in accordance with the decisions taken by producers council, it did not clearly reveal all the contentions. They have also advised the Producer council not to plan any shooting from 1st March.

This will definitely affect some big budget films. The major big-budget film that is likely to suffer is Charan-Sukumar film. On other hand, films such as Mahanati may also expect to receive the heat. If this issue does not close by March, Biggies such as Mahesh’s Bharat Ane Nenu, Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya and Shankar-Rajini’s 2.0 will face problems.
