Amitabh Bachchan Threatens To Quit Twitter for Reducing his Number of Followers

After Shah Rukh Khan dethroned him as the most followed Indian actor on Twitter, Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is quite active on social media, on Thursday jokingly tweeted that he was planning to quit Twitter. No, it’s not because of trolls or hate messages, but then the 75-year-old actor has alleged that the social media platform has reduced his number of followers.

Though the number of followers of SRK has remained the same at 32, 944, 338, Amitabh Bachchan lost a good chunk of his own followers, bringing him to the second most followed person on Twitter with 32, 902,353 followers. With this SRK has been ranked number one on the microblogging site.

Actually, in his latest tweet, Amitabh Bachchan threatened to quit the microblogging website. In case you are wondering why the actor did so, he hinted that the website is reducing his number of followers. Amitabh always finds time from his busy schedule to post about the current affairs.

Amitabh’s tweet comes after many prominent Twitter users across the world lost more than a million followers as federal and state agencies in the US started investigating shadowy agencies that sell fake followers. The investigation was launched after a report in New York Times.

On the work front, Big B is currently busy working on Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan. Shah Rukh Khan, on the other side, is working on Aanand L Rai’s Zero opposite Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. He will play a dwarf in the film, which will have several celebrities special appearances, including Salman Khan.
