Agnathavasi is the biggest release in Tollywood in the beginning of 2018. The film released in the huge number of screens in the Telugu States i.e, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, and Rest of India. Pawan Kalyan’s film was the first Indian film to release in about 572 locations in the US, according to LATelugu.com, the official distributors of the film in the US. The film also opened its advance booking 23 days before the film hit the screens.

According to LA Telugu, The film raked $ 1,520,243(Approx Rs 9.69 Crores) with USA premiers. Agnyaathavaasi beats Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning which collected around 1.3 million US dollars (approx) and was at the top of that list. In addition, its teaser & trailer doubled the curiosity and expectations of the film. Already, The film raked Rs 160 crores with its pre-release business, beating the theatrical rights record of Baahubali: The Beginning. The tickets for the film were sold like hot cakes and the first day registered an average of 70 percent of advance booking in the Telugu states. Agnyaathavaasi registered 100 percent occupancy in the regular morning show everywhere.According to expectations, Agnyathavaasi must have collected more than 40 cores worldwide on an opening day.
With the first-day figures pouring in, it seems the makers would be really happy with the film’s opening-day performance. According to a report by The Hindustan Times, Agnyaathavaasi has already set the box-office on fire. The film’s gross worldwide collection is estimated to be around Rs 60.5 crore.
Because of the festival season, there is full occupancy in the theatres but the real test for the movie begins only after Sankranthi. Because of the bookings and festival season, the people will step into the theatres to watch the movie irrespective of the result of the movie.
