Kollywood Actor Dhanush latest movie Vada Chennai is off to a flying start at the Tamil Nadu box office. The movie has got an overwhelming response from all the centers across the state. The first part of the trilogy, starring Dhanush in the lead role is showing all signs of a possible blockbuster.
Twitter is flooded with posts lauding the film and the cast. The response from the overseas market is also positive for this Vetri Maaran’s film. Starring Ameer, Andrea Jeremiah, Kishore, Samuthirakani and Pawan, the film is about the life of gangsters in Vada Chennai. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for the film, which has been produced by Wunderbar Film and Lyca Productions.
Vada Chennai marks the third collaboration between Dhanush and Vetrimaaran. Previously, the actor-director duo has delivered superhits like Polladhavan (2007) and Aadukalam (2011). The movie also stars Samuthirakani, Ameer, Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Daniel Balaji and Kishore among others in pivotal roles.
The early trends indicate that Vada Chennai would earn over Rs 90 lakh on an opening day in Chennai. Released in over 350 screens, Vada Chennai had early morning shows on Wednesday, 17 October, in many theatres which clearly tell the buzz created by the movie. The advance booking had met with good response, thereby ensuring a solid opening to the Dhanush-starrer. Vada Chennai is likely to open on a solid note at the Chennai box office and collect between Rs 1 Crore and 1.5 Crore on the opening day itself. This is indeed some good news and it proves that Dhanush is a force to the reckoned with.
A few theatres have already declared that Vada Chennai has got one of the biggest openings of 2018. “Third highest advance booking this year nearing 10k tickets after #Kaala and #CCV What a rocking opening this!! #VadaChennai. [sic]” Nikilesh Surya, the executive director of Rohini Silver Screens tweeted.
Dhanush’s fans have already started to celebrate the success of the film even before its release.
