Rajinikanth Feels No urgency to enter Politics

Superstar Rajinikanth told to reporters at Chennai airport on Wednesday: “There is no urgency to enter Politics. I will meet my fans after my birthday.” Rajinikanth had earlier stated that he would meet his fans in September or October, but that was not to be. Some people considered close to the actor, including his brother Satyanarayana Rao Gaikwad, earlier this year told media that he would enter politics this year, but the superstar is yet to spell out his plans.

In May this year while addressing a large gathering of his fans, Rajinikanth said he will choose the path of politics if “God willing”.

“God decides what we have to do in life at every phase. Right now, he wants me to be an actor and I’m fulfilling my responsibility. If God willing, I will enter politics tomorrow. If I enter, I will be very truthful and will not entertain people who are in this to make money. I won’t work with such people,” he had said.
On Work Front Rajinikanth is currently busy with the release of the movie 2.0. He said that the release date of the movie will be announced soon. The film, which is in the post production mode, is being directed by Shankar and is touted to be one of the costliest films ever to be made in Indian cinema. It is produced by A Subhaskaran’s Lyca Prodcutions on a budget of Rs. 450 crores. He also added that the shooting for the movie Kaala is over. Kaala is directed by Pa Ranjith and the project marks the reunion of director Pa. Ranjith with Rajinikanth after Kabali.
The music launch of 2.0 was held in Dubai and was one of the biggest film events of the year. 2.0 is scheduled to release on January 25, 2018.
