Apple Watch Series 3 Launched Including Cellular Service Lets You Leave iPhone Back at Home


Apple Watch Series 3: Apple has launched Watch Series 3 at the 10th anniversary of Keynote event. The first product up for discussion was the Apple Watch. The Apple’s chief operating officer, Jeff Williams, who is also in charge of Apple’s Watch division said that, “The new smartwatch – called the Apple Watch Series 3 – will have its own cellular connectivity.”

The Watch will be able to receive calls — using your iPhone’s number – and can support apps including Maps and WeChat. The new Apple Watch will also be compatible with Apple Music, meaning you can use it as a music player on its own. It is priced at $329 for watch with cellular connectivity and $329 without it. It will be available from September 22 and the pre-orders for the watch will start from September 15.

Apple Watch Series 3 Launched Alongside iPhone Grabs Attention

Williams said the new watch can play up to 40 million songs using Apple Music. Siri also gets a boost on the watch. Conversations with Apple’s artificial intelligence can happen without even lifting an arm. The Apple Watch Series 3 will be available on September 22, with orders starting on September 15.

The Watch will have up to 18 hours of battery life across LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Starting September 22, the cellular version of the Watch will go on sale for $399. Without cellular connection, it will cost $329 (Rs. 29,900 in India). The Series 1 Apple Watch’s price will drop to $249 (Rs. 21,900 in India).

The new Watch 3 also features a barometer to count the flights of stairs you’ve climbed during your day and it will also come with Apple Music streaming. Apple Watch 3 will now let you stream music directly through the watch. As per Apple, you can stream 40 million songs on your wrist. Apple promises up to 18 hours of battery life.
