Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year offer and Prime Subscription ended on April 15th, following which the customers will have to begin paying in order to continue using the data and calling service. Initially, It is slated to end on March 31st, but Reliance Industries Chairperson and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani extended the date to April 15th. Ambani also has announced its ‘Jio Summer Surprise’ programme for its Jio Prime members, which gives users recharging with Rs 303 or more before April 15 and the additional benefit of free services for the initial 3 months on a complimentary basis. The paid tariff plan will be applicable starting July, after the expiry of the complimentary service.
Later, The company decided to withdraw its “Summer Surprise” offer on telecom regulator TRAI’s advice. Earlier this week, It launched a new scheme called “Dhan Dhana Dhan”, offering “unlimited” for Rs 309 and 509 tariff plans for already enrolled JioPrime customers. Jio Prime members who recharge with Rs 309 will get 1GB data per day, while those recharging with Rs 509 will get 2GB data per day, along with unlimited calling for 84 days (28*3=84 days).
From Today(April16th), Jio’s non-Prime users will not get benefits of Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan. As of now, Jio only has a Rs 149 plan for prepaid non-Prime members. This Rs 149 plan offers unlimited calling, while 1 GB is available at 4G speeds. This plan will be valid for 28 day. For Prime user, It offer 2 GB. Jio Prime members get additional benefits at the same price, when compared to non-Prime members.
