Moto Z Play Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update: A good news for all the Moto Z Play users as Motorola has confirmed the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the smartphone. Motorola in a statement said that, Moto Z Play will receive the latest version of Android Nougat very soon. The smartphone, Moto Z Play was launched in December 2016 and was running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box which was later upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat through OTA.
Motorola didn’t confirm the actual date on which it will roll out the update, but it will be before July. Motorola rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Moto Z Play to several countries including India, Brazil, Canada, and also US. This means, there are high chances that these countries will also probably be the first ones to receive the upcoming Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. Moto Z Play features a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen at 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutions. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset. It has 8-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It runs with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, it can be further extended up to 256GB with a dedicated microSD card slot.
The device sports a 16-megapixel rear camera which includes phase detection, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, auto-HDR etc. This Moto Z play also has an integrated 5-megapixel front camera with selfie snapper and LED flash. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 and Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. It is backed up by a non-removable Li-Ion 3510 mAh battery with a fast charging ability.
