OnePlus 6 Hands On Images Leaked Online for the First Time Before Launch

OnePlus 6 Hands On Images Leaked: OnePlus is the premium smartphone manufacturer which gives bang for the buck. Now, the next version of the smartphone is the most anticipated as many smartphones have been launched at MWC 2018. OnePlus 6 will be the next smartphone to come from the company and the notch embraces just like iPhone X from the hands on leak.

Coming to the leaks, Report by ITHome, a Chinese website and the source of the leak, two pictures of the device show the changes in the design when compared to older OnePlus devices. The images showcase a device with a full-screen display and an iPhone X-like notch on the top of the device. That notch is smaller in width than the iPhone’s notch and appears to be housing a speaker grill, front camera and possibly, a proximity sensor.

When coming to the smartphone design, it looks more like OnePlus One which has little rounded corners without sharp edges. The narrower notch from the manufacturer comes from iPhone X and the lifting of features from iPhone trend continues even this time. The fingerprint sensor remains at the rear with the sensor taking the shape from OnePlus 3/3T instead of round one from OnePlus 5/5T.

When you see the rear end, there is an all glass back finish which might hint at Wireless option, though Pete Lau said that will increase the cost and maintenance. The leaked device is possibly a prototype unit, considering it runs on yet-to-be-released OnePlus software.

The device is seen running on Android 8.1 and OxygenOS 5.1, both of which haven’t been released yet, pointing these to the beta builds of OnePlus’ upcoming updates for their existing smartphones. The photographs also reveal internal specifications — 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, suggesting this might be the base variant.
