Reliance Jio Adds 4 Million Customers: Reliance Jio increases its user base with the addition of new 4 million users in April 2017. Reliance Jio has made an entry which mattered with free internet and calls for the first 6 months. While the April addition of 3.87 million has been lower than March’s 5.83 million subscribers. Reliance Jio Infocomm outran all its peers in April by adding about 4 million new users to reach a consumer base of 112.55 million. Other telecom providers are losing customers while Jio is slowly getting up in this market.

The top three telcos had largely maintained their market shares at 23.54%, 17.86%, and 16.69%, respectively. By contrast, Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices and Telenor lost more than 1 million each, while Aircel lost 0.3 million users in the month. According to the data released by TRAI, Jio is also leading in wireless broadband services with 112.55 million customers, followed by Bharti Airtel with 52.25 million, Vodafone with 39.76 million, and Idea Cellular with 24.09 million.
The new entrant has maintained its mark in the telecom market with more than what it has earlier. The users are showing more interest towards Reliance Jio as it has some offers which attract the users and opt the network. In April 4.96 million subscribers opted for number portability, taking the total requests number to 277.7 million till April 2017 end, since January 2011.
Reliance Jio has gave its subscribers discounts on app usage and data benefits for a year on a one-time recharge of Rs 99 to include themselves in the Prime Membership. After which with a recharge of Rs 303, you will get free data usage of 1GB per Day for 3 months.
