Samsung Galaxy A5 Started Receiving Android Nougat: Samsung Galaxy A5 joins the 13.5 percent of the smartphones in the world which run on Android Nougat Operating System. Samsung has released the Nougat update for the Galaxy A5 devices today. Currently, Samsung is rolling out the update only to the users in Russia. However, it wouldn’t be long before the roll-out to other regions begins as well.

There was a myth that Samsung only concentrates on Flagship devices or the high end devices for the roll out of updates. But, in contrast the company had released the android nougat update for the mid range Samsung Galaxy A5 device. The users in Russia can now be able to update the smartphone with the new Android Operating System and enjoy the features of Multi tasking.

It has been just a day that Galaxy A7 has received the update of Android 7.0 Nougat. Now it’s time for Galaxy A5 users to enjoy the new Android OS from Samsung with little tweaks here and there with Samsung UI.

So users outside Russia can always check for updates manually by going to Settings. Android Nougat will come with features like split-screen multitasking, more customizable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window extended battery life, and more. The addition of the Quick Reply feature will let users reply from the notification bar itself without opening any app.

There are also many things which comes with the update of Android Nougat 7.0. According to SamMobile, Samsung has started rolling out the Nougat update for Russian Galaxy A5 models, bringing a very similar set of features like new UX, improved Notifications, revamped Multi-Window feature among others. As the online publication notes, the Dual Messenger feature is not mentioned in the changelog.

The report also added that, It’s unclear when the update will hit other markets, but to see if it’s available for your device, simply go into Software update in Settings. Again, the Nougat update will weigh over 1 GB so make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection.

The update weighs a hefty 1394.40 MB, so make sure you’re connected to stable Wi-Fi and you have enough battery left to download and apply it. The new OS version will add a number of improvements, the most obvious one being the Samsung Experience UI which debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S8 duo.
