Xiaomi Mi 6C Leaked: Xiaomi has made a step out of powering the flagship smartphones with its own Surge S2 Processor series which were released months ago. This time, the smartphone that leaked in the internet is Xiaomi Mi 6C which is the upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi. The device will be the successor of Xiaomi Mi 5C which was launched earlier this year.

According to the reports, The Surge S2 is said to be another octa-core chipset that will accommodate eight cores running at various speeds: 2.2GHz quad-core A73 and 1.8GHz quad-core A53. Unlike Surge S1 which is built on 28nm manufacturing process, the new Surge S2 is said to use 16nm process technology. The rumors suggest that Xiaomi Mi 6C, the Youth Edition of the company’s flagship, will be the first smartphone to be equipped with the new Surge S2 chipset.

According to a post in Weibo, Xiaomi Mi 6C is likely to be a lighter and watered-down version of the flagship Xiaomi Mi 6. The post points out that Xiaomi has used 16-nm fabrication process to manufacture the Surge S2. Surge S2 will be an octa-core processor with four A73 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four A53 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz along with Mali-G71MP12. The device is likely to pack a 12 MP camera module on the back along with a 5 MP camera module on the front.

It should sport a similar 5.15-inch panel like the current Xiaomi Mi 6 model. The device is said to pack 4 GB RAM along with 64 GB internal storage with the device. The post also points out that the company is also planning to launch a second variant of the device with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.

The lower variant is expected to be priced at about 1999 RMB which converts to about Rs 18,920 at the time of writing and the high-end variant is likely to be priced at 2499 RMB which amounts to about Rs 23,652 at the time of writing.
