Xiaomi Surge S2 SoC Powered Mi 6C Likely to be Launched in December


Xiaomi Surge S2 SoC Powered Mi 6C: Xiaomi has launched many smartphones with Qualcomm powered processors. But Xiaomi has developed their own processor named Surge and now they are trying to get them into the market quickly to enhance the production. So, Mi series is taking a different variation to launch Mi 6C powered by Xiaomi’s own Surge S2 SoC.

Mi 6C is likely to be the successor of Mi 5C which was released earlier in February this year was powered by Surge S1. Along with Mi 5C, they launched their own new Surge S1 Processor. So, the high end smartphones are much likely to see this processor in Mi series in coming days. The company is expected to launch the Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus later this week.

Xiaomi Surge S2 SoC Powered Mi 6C is Expected to Have Full Screen Display:

According to Gizmo China, the Mi 6C is most likely to be a mid range smartphone. Many reports of this smartphone has surfaced online earlier. The new Surge S2 SoC would use a 16nm TSMC manufacturing process along with the same octa-core architecture as the Surge S1. This processor can also be the same as S1 which features eight ARM Cortex A53 cores built on the 28 nm process including four cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and the remaining four at 1.4 GHz.

The smartphone is expected to come with 4GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage which is expected from all the mid range smartphones now a days. Coming to the camera module, Xiaomi Mi 6C is expected to sport a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera for the selfies. Xiaomi Mi 6C will be downgraded version for the original parent Mi 6 which was launched earlier this year.
