Dhoni Accuses Maxx Mobile Firm for Using His Name:

The High Court called up the top official of Maxx Mobilink Pvt Ltd after taking note of the plea from former captain that its orders have been defied by the firm. Justice Manmohan asked the company official that, “Why are you (Maxx) not complying with the order? You have to follow the court’s direction…both parties are directed to comply with the order dated April 21, 2016 before the next date of hearing that is July 28?”

Back in November 17, 2014, the court was hearing a petition filed by Dhoni seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the company’s CMD Ajjay Agarwal for defying its direction asking Maxx Mobilink to “refrain from selling any products” which uses the name of the cricketer in commercials.

Earlier in 2014, Dhoni and Rhiti Sports filed a complaint in the court accusing that the mobile company had not paid the dues for using the cricketers’ name and photo for its endorsements. Further, in the contempt plea, Dhoni wanted all products seized which used his name and photograph for their sale and promotion.
