India Cricket Coach Anil Kumble Steps Down: After a spat between Indian Cricket team coach Anil Kumble and team captain Virat Kohli, Kumble steps down from his position. With something going on between Kumble and squad, the limit was reached and finally made him resign from his position. Besides this, CAC has asked Kumble to continue in the position extending the contract but situations are never the same.

Some of the reports said that, Following India’s 180-run defeat, Kumble is understood to have had one-on-ones with some players. The players complained about his overbearing attitude to captain Virat Kohli. On Tuesday, the long-drawn squabble finally ended with Kumble stepping down from his position as India head Coach.

BCCI on its official account confirmed about Kumble’s resignation and also has a post regarding the same. BCCI said, “Mr Anil Kumble has withdrawn his services as post of the head coach. While the Cricket Advisory Committee had endorsed an extension to his tenure, Mr Kumble has decided not to continue as the coach.”

Mr. Amitabh Choudhary, Acting Secretary of the BCCI, said “We wish to place on record our sincere appreciation for the immense contribution by Anil Kumble to the team which enabled India to attain the No.1 Test position. Indian cricket needs his continued contribution in various capacities and wishes him all the best in his future endeavour.” In the interim, the BCCI has deputed Dr. MV Sridhar, GM – Cricket Operations to supervise the Team Management for the West Indies tour.

Mr. Sanjay Bangar, Batting Coach & Mr. R Sridhar, Fielding Coach will continue their assignments and assist the Indian Cricket Team. Kumble and Kohli met BCCI secretary Amitabh Chowdhury, CEO Rahul Johri and general manager (cricket operations) MV Sridhar, leading to Kumble not boarding the team bus to the airport along with the cricketers hours later.

The next thing which is making everyone exciting is about the India’s next head coach. Lately, BCCI accepted the application for the position for which Sehwag also applied with a two line resume attached to the application. We never know who will be the next India Cricket head Coach until BCCI appoints one.
