IPL 2017 Final MI Vs RPS Preview : Big Stage Set at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium

IPL 2017 Final MI Vs RPS Preview: For the fourth time in the season, Rising Pune SuperGiant(RPS) is getting head to head with Mumbai Indians(MI). The last qualifier which was between MI and RPS was taken by RPS to reach the final directly while MI took a route which is longer. MI have lost three consecutive games against Steve Smith’s team and will be desperate to break the losing streak.

While we go towards the final, lets take a look at both the teams performance and their key players. For Mumbai it’s the opening pair batting and death bowling are the advantages while for the RPS, they have advantage over Mumbai in batting with an experienced line up and Rahul Tripathi at the top which is in aggressive form. There is no much experience for RPS in bowling but the youngsters Unadkat, Chahar are making good impact with their bowling skills.

IPL 2017 Final MI Vs RPS Preview – Both Teams with Advantage:

Starting with Parthiv Patel who had a good season with Mumbai Indians took the team in every match with a flying start. His pair Lendl Simmons was seen in a good nick in the previous two games. The other big thing which MI is waiting for is the form of Rohith Sharma which was pale in the first 4-5 games now gained some momentum.

Hardik Pandya is another catch for Mumbai Indians as he is going good with his bowling as well as batting. Krunal Pandya was seen receiving treatment to his groin during the second qualifier but Rohit has said he should be okay to play. Mitchell McClenaghan, who did not play that game, will be assessed on the morning of the final in Hyderabad.

Mitchell Johnson provides hostility and intimidation at the start. In the four games he has played for Mumbai Indians, the Australian left-arm pacer has provided crucial breakthroughs and restricted the flow of runs. Jasprith Bumrah is the other guy who the opposition has to look out.

Coming to RPS, the batting line up is pretty solid with Rahane and Tripathi with flying starts throughout the season. Especially, the aggressive batting of Rahul Tripathi is the eye grabber. Followed by Steve smith and MS Dhoni, the team looks great with the bat and Dhoni behind the stumps was never out of form. From the bowling perspective, Jaydev Unadkat is in a great form.

MI have already won the IPL title twice, once in 2013 and then in 2015. Can they become the first team to win three IPL titles, or will the underdogs, a young and inexperienced Rising Pune Supergiant– cause an upset and clinch their maiden title? Lets find out on May 21.
