Today, Mithali Raj in a match which was deciding for India to reach the Semi’s Vs New Zealand in Women’s World Cup scored a match winning century which became the 10th fifty-plus score in a calendar year which is the highest by any batswoman.

Mithali Raj has also became the first woman in ODIs to score 6,000 runs in the format of the game. Mithali Raj made her sixth ODI century but she also scored her 10th 50-plus score in the calendar year of 2017. With her 109 against New Zealand, Mithali Raj made her 10th fifty-plus score in 2017, the most by a batswoman in a single calendar. She has been creating and breaking records in a big stage.

According to the reports,¬†in 1997, Debbie Hockley also scored eight fifty-plus scores in ODIs and that record was not broken for 19 years until Perry made nine scores.
