Kodangal constituency is the center of headlines today TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will be visiting and hosting a public meeting. While inspecting the arrangements, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said that the public attending for the meeting will be given all kinds of facilities like water, toilets and proper seating arrangements. It is expected that the Kodangal public meeting is expected to have a gathering of more than 50,000 people.
After Kodangal public meeting the Chief Minister is expected to take part in Gadwal Praja Ashirwada Sabha at Undavalli village in Gadwal district. For making these two meetings a grand success, the TRS local leaders along with state level ministers are working in coordination and keeping everything in place so as to make the public meetings a grand success.
Meanwhile Chief Electoral Officer for Telangana Rajat Kumar, on Sunday, directed the police to take steps to ensure that no disruptions take place at the public meeting to be addressed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in Kodangal constituency on Tuesday.
The directions were issued following a complaint by Telangana Rashtra Samithi that Congress candidate from Kodangal A Revanth Reddy called on his party workers as well the opposition alliance members to stage protests against the Chief Minister’s Tuesday meeting.
Based on the complaint, the CEO directed the Director General of Police to take action and submit a report in this regard by Monday. On Tuesday early morning Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy was detained by police. Reddy was picked up from his residence to prevent any untoward incident during Rao`s rally in Kosgi, Kodangal, and was shifted to an undisclosed location, reported news agency IANS
