LB Nagar town was swathed in saffron color hues as members of BJP cadre carrying BJP flags took out a huge rally in the town to mark the filing nomination of BJP Candidate Perala Shekhar Rao at the saroornagar indoor stadium.
After filing the nomination Perala Shekhar Rao told the media, “I am the second person to file nomination from LB Nagar constituency. I am confident and hopeful that the people of LB Nagar will support me. People have witnessed four and a half years of KCR family’s rule. Now they want to get rid of them.”
Among the opposition party candidates, Muddagowni Ram Mohan Goud, TRS candidate for LB Nagar Assembly constituency filed his nomination. Meanwhile, The TDP and Congress leaders have intensified their fight to retain the LB Nagar seat, by bookmarking it among the allies in Mahakutami. The current MLA R Krishnaiah is being sidelined and Sama Ranga Reddy followers are making it tough for the party with their protest. On the other hand, Congress leader Sudheer Reddy has started his door to door campaign. He has also put up hoardings in the areas over the last one month, requesting people to support him. It would be interesting to watch which party is going to grab the constituency. Rammohan Goud from the TRS has also has started his campaign.
Candidates picking up the microphones for campaigning even before the candidature announcement is drawing eyeballs. This scenario is not only restricted to LB Nagar but in many places across Telangana in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, KCR, TRS candidates from Secunderabad, Malakpet and Uppal–Padma Rao Goud, Chava Satish and Bethi Subhash Reddy respectively are expected to file nominations on Wednesday, November 14.
