LB Nagar BJP candidate Perala Shekhar Rao is seeking to attract young voters

Perala Shekhar Rao Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate from LB Nagar believes in personal rapport with the public, and that is what is taking him into each and every lane of the constituency. On Saturday, he was campaigning in Nagarjuna Colony, Christian Colony, and Venkataramana Colony to HCI Colony Phase 2 in Hastinapuram division.

Addressing to Media Perala Shekhar Rao said “I am not new to the constituency, I worked for Malakpet MLA Indrasena Reddy way back in 1983, when this area was under Malakpet Assembly segment. My old connections right from my ABVP days are also helping,” he said. Rao, who is seeking to attract young voters, said for him, politics was a public service while others treated it as a business.

“I am asking the public to compare the background of candidates and then decide,” he said. Twice a day, he travels through the constituency with padayatras. “We are covering almost 20 km a day and meeting every voter possible,” said Ramnarayan Arutla, a party worker.

If he elected, his focus for LB Nagar will be on skill development, employment generation through various initiatives and also on public transport. “We can start mini bus services in colonies and a multi-modal bus terminal as this area is fast growing till Hayatnagar,” he added.

On the other hand, Congress leader Sudheer Reddy also started his door to door campaign. He has also put up hoardings in the areas over the last one month, requesting people to support him. It would be interesting to watch which party is going to grab the constituency. Rammohan Goud from the TRS has also has started his campaign.
