LB Nagar Congress winning chances depend on TDP support

LB Nagar: Who Will win LB Nagar Constituency? There are over 35 contestants from main parties and independents in LB Nagar assembly segment. The main fight is between the Congress and the TRS. Congress-Prajakutami candidate is Devireddy Sudheer Reddy. In 2014 election, he lost to TDP nominee R. Krishnaiah but now there is no TDP candidate in the election fray as Congress is given ticket under the alliance. As Congress and TRS are locked in a direct contest, both the parties are making all-out efforts to win the seat by using all their resources.

As Per Poll Predictions LB Nagar constituency which has 4 lakh voters. 50% of them are Reddys and the remaining are BCs and others. LB. Nagar residents are actually confused and in a dilemma, as to whom to vote for because Rammohan Goud from TRS who was in the second place in 2014 elections has a bad image and it may work against him. Also, there are a lot of corruption allegations against him. R.Krishniah who won with around 12000 majorities, has moved to the Congress now.  R.Krishnaiah is a BC leader. This should be an advantage for TRS, however, self-damage of Ram Mohan Goud has wasted a golden opportunity Its advantage, Sudheer Reddy. On Other Side, Congress is pinning its hopes on the support from the Telugu Desam Party cadres as part of the alliance. TDP Sama Ranga Reddy has held meetings and asked his followers to work hard for the victory of Congress. Similar meetings are being held in Ibrahimpatnam by Congress leaders.

LB Nagar has 4.74 lakh voters of whom nearly one lakh are from Andhra and one lakh more are settlers from other parts of Telangana state. Settlers’ votes play the crucial role.
