Hindupur MLA Balakrishna sits in Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu chair in Camp Office on Wednesday created quite a flutter in the ruling party circles when he took the seat of his brother-in-law and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the CM’s Camp Office while attending the World Economic Forum’s annual conclave, by sitting in his chair at his camp office and reviewing implementation of schemes in his Hindupur Assembly constituency. Pic Going Viral in Social Media Picture Shows Water Resources Minister D Umamaheswara Rao and several officials were sitting in front of him, obeying his instructions as he reviewed the programmes in his constituency and also certain issues related to Lepakshi festival.
Many thinking Balakrishna misused his relationship with the Chief Minister. Balakrishna’s sister, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, is married to Naidu, while his daughter, Nara Brahmini is married to Lokesh. “Personal relationships should not intrude into official places, especially in the high positions in the state. Moreover, there are conference halls in every block and Mr. Balakrishna could have chosen any of them instead of the one in the CMO,” an official told.
As per the protocol, no other person should sit in the chair of the chief minister, even if the meetings were to be held in his chambers.
Meanwhile, TDP Party Senior leaders have maintained the silence on the incident. Lokesh, a scion of Chandrababu and son-in-law of Balayya, too seems to have taken the issue in stride. People who are aware of Balayya would certainly won’t take the issue seriously. Isn’t it?
