Actor Nithiin Most Awaited Romantic Love Story Film Chal Mohan Ranga Finally Screened Worldwide in Maximum Number of Screens and film received a thumping response from fans and filmmakers and film received positive reviews and rating from critics. In This Film Megha Akash is playing the female lead. Earlier both Nithiin and Megha Akash have worked together for Lie, but unfortunately, the movie was dud at the box office. Apart from the lead pair the film has other stars like Rao Ramesh, Satya, Madhu, Naresh, Pragathi and others in supporting roles. The movie is directed by Krishna Chaitanya who impressed everyone with his debut film ‘Rowdy Fellow’ and jointly produced by Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas.

Story Plot: Film Story Revolves around Mohan Ranga (Nithiin) lands in USA on a temporary visa and soon he finds a person who can sponsor H1B for him to continue in USA. He falls for Megha (Megha Akash) in a road trip in USA. When they want to confess their love for one another, they back off due to several relationship conflicts. What happens then? How will Ranga win Mega’s heart again? To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Review: The story relies on a very flimsy premise and by the end, one realises that there was hardly any potential the film could capitalize on. Krishna Chaitanya wants us to believe in how conveniently Nithiin and Megha meet. The central situations that bring the pair together may have appeared fine on appear but they way they’ve translated on screen is outright silly.

This over the top first half is saved by light humour, and it is thanks to comedy that second half picks up momentum. Doctor Mitra, the psychologist in the film and his friend Ramesh’s dialogue about patients and treatment is the most entertaining scene in the film, followed by Mohan Ranga and his friend Pammy’s duet. Such laugh-out-loud moments somehow salvages what is left of the romantic drama towards the end.The climax of the film is unnecessarily drawn out and overtly dramatic. It suffers throughout because of cliches and would have been unbearable if not for the comedy woven throughout.

Performances: Nithiin and Megha Akash have done good jobs and their performances and chemistry are the highlights of Chal Mohan Ranga. Madhunandan, Rao Ramesh and others have done justice to their roles, and are among the big assets of the film, say the viewers.

Technical: Chal Mohan Ranga has decent production values. Natarajan Subramaniam’s picturization, selection of beautiful locales and costumes, S Thaman’s songs and background score, add to the film, say the viewers Cinematographer Natty has done a good work and captured slick locations in New York, Miami well.

Positives:

  • Comedy oriented scenes,
  • dialogues Nithiin’s performance
  • Writer-Director’s wit Crisp editing

Negatives:

  • Run of the mill story
  • No high moments
  • Flat Narration

Verdict: ‘Chal Mohan Ranga ‘ is about “Boy loves a girl and finally they get married “ line has nothing new to offer. All in all, you may watch it for clean comedy, if you don’t mind predictable story!

Boxoffice:

Chal Mohan Ranga took a good start with $ 140K from its Wednesday premiers. This is one of biggest openers in Nithiin’s career. Nithiin’s last film LIE collected $ 55K from its premiers in overseas. Also, CMR is one of the biggest openers among medium range releases this year. The word of mouth and web reviews with decide the fate of the film at overseas box office.
