Richie Movie Story Plot & Review

Story plot: Richie is set in the backdrop of based in Tuticorin and is part of the shipping mafia. The local folks of Manapad town are getting ready to celebrate their biggest festival, Christmas and it is their annual tradition to participate in the procession, which is led by the father of the village’s oldest church and seek blessings from him. During the course of the celebration, one of the villagers accidentally discovers an old treasure, which opens a path of destruction and would affect the lives of the villagers.

As the events unfold following the discovery of the treasure, the stories of some individuals – Richie, a local thug, and Selva, a boat mechanic who is struggling to recover from the loss of his friend, and Megha, a local journalist sets out to uncover the truth behind an incident, through the perspectives of different people, unravelling how they and their lives are intertwined with it. The interesting thing about this film is how with each individual, the incident itself takes a different shape.

Nivin Pauly plays the title character Richie who is a local rowdy and Naatti is a boat mechanic. Shraddha Srinath plays the role of a journalist in the film, who is looking forward to telling the story of each of these characters individually. Prakash Raj as a church father, Natarajan Subramaniam as another thug and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli form the rest of the cast.

Review: Nivin Pauly plays the title role of a thug. The story is centred around the murder that takes place during a local fair. Shraddha Srinath will be seen as a journalist who tries to put the peices together from different people to get a clear picture about the incident. The screenplay and the cinematography of the movie are appreciable. The way action shots depict the story is just perfect; also, the performance of the stars promises a lot of entertainment for the fans. The Richie movie is the best mixture of the action, crime and drama. The performance of the actor Nivin Pauly will surely make the audience crazy; also, the movie assures power-packed action, entertainment and drama throughout the end.

Nivin Pauly Performance.

Richie will be undoubtedly one of the best characters that have come Nivin’s ways, and he has played the troubled youth in a matured way. However, one could still doubt if all the emotional depths of the character was translated onto the screen.

Verdict: After Premam, Nivin Pauly’s veshti-clad, bearded look was the rage of the town. And with Richie, the actor is donning his most famed look yet with a twist. The usually demure Nivin Pauly’s transformation as the angry, cussing, paan-spitting Ritchie would be exciting for his fans.

Richie Movie Rating : 3.5/5
