A video posted in Weibo by a user named Yu Yu Yu makes everyone shocked. The video shows a deep fried fish which was served suddenly comes to life and twitching on the dining table in a restaurant. It is totally a weird situation for the customer and the restaurant management. It was seen moving as three other fried fishes lay next to it which were also completely fried but not alive. Some people in social media went on to call it a ‘Zombie Fish’.
The action caused the fish’s body to tear apart and its cooked meat could be seen. As the video was posted on the social networking site and took the internet by storm, there are some Web users who suspect that the fish had not been cooked long enough. The video was said to be taken in Hengyang, Hunan Province in southern China. Web users on Weibo, a Twitter-like social media platform, has been posting it around since the end of December.
In the video, which was said to be taken in Hengyang in the Hunan province of southern China, a woman is heard saying in the local language: “Oh no, no, no! It’s cracking!” Many Weibo users said it was “too cruel” to fry a fish while it was still alive. One user hadisi_4568 asked: “Don’t they think that’s horrifying? Why can’t they kill the fish before frying it?”
