A man in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district allegedly beat up his wife the same night that he married her, 24-year-old woman Sailaja got married with Rajesh on Friday 1st December, After Marraige as per hindu tradition family members arraged first night for newly married couple on saturday at Sailaja house Motharanganapalli in Gangadhara Nellore. The night after the wedding ceremony got over, she found out that all was not well with her husband, Rajesh who allegedly threatened that she should not reveal anything about him to the world outside.
But, a shocked Sailaja revealed this to her parents, who convinced her and sent her to him again. Enraged that she divulged his impotency, Rajesh attacked her brutally. He sank his teeth, punched in her face and gagged her. He slashed her body and bludgeoned her at will. He left her with a black eye, swollen face. Hearing Sailaja’s cries for help, her parents forceliy opened the door to find a badly battered daughter writhing in pain. Rajesh escaped from the room.
Bed Room turned horrifying with blood stains and the pieces of her glass bangles.She was rushed to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment.The family of the victim insisted that Rajesh should be given the stringent punishment.
Gangadhara Nellore police sub-inspector Rajasekhar told Mirror, “A case under Indian Penal Code sections 324 (causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 506 (criminal intimidation) has been registered against Rajesh. He has been arrested.
According to the police, Sailaja who was working as a teacher, got married to the woman, a postgraduate in business administration, on Thursday. Her family said they gave Rs 1 crore to him as dowry. On their first night on Friday, her husband pounced on her and started beating her indiscriminately as soon as she entered the room. “He punched me on my face and kicked me on sensitive body parts, besides biting me all over and inflicting injuries with a knife,” she said.
Meanwhile Chittor District Collector P S Pradyuman ordered the suspension of Rajesh Reddy who was working as a teacher at a government school in Adinapally village.
