Semma Botha Aagatha the Most Awaited Film of GV Prakash Kumar After winning appreciation from critics for his performance in Naachiyaar, Actor is back to his favorite genre – comedy. He has collaborated now with Pandiraj’s former associate Vallikanth, who is making his debut in the film Semma (Sema). The film stars Atharvaa, who also produces the film, while Mishti and Anaika Soti portray the leading female roles. Featuring music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film began production during January 2016 and is scheduled to release today i.e. on 18th May 2018.
Story Plot: Semma is an action comedy set in the rural backdrop. The story takes an interesting turn after a bride hunt begins for the lead character, portrayed by GV Prakash. The actor’s role in the movie is quite different from the ones he had done earlier. He likes to do one or the other work to keep himself engaged in the flick.
Atharvaa, as the protagonist is perfectly suited as the angry young man who also wants to do what’s right. The character is typical masala hero, but because he can act, Atharvaa makes his antics believable. Anaika Soti is saddled with the cliched girlfriend role, and there is not much to her character rather than as a love interest for the hero. But, again, she tries and is somewhat successful to make her character look useful upto a point, after which noise and action take her place and she’s as good as gone from the story. The movie is brilliantly shot by Gopi Amarnath, and Badri directs the action scenes with less frantic pace than other movies we are used to. You should watch the movie if you want to be entertained and aren’t looking for a new story.
GV Prakash Kumar’s movies in comedy have been well-received by the audience in the past. But this is the first time that he will be seen in a rural entertainer. With his previous film Naachiyar receiving positive reviews, there is a good amount of expectations riding on the Tamil flick.
