Sony H81XX Flagship Series: Two new series of devices spotted through Sony’s user-agent profiles which are H81XX and H82XX. The lineup is understood to entail at least two handsets bearing the model numbers H8116 and H8166, both of which feature 4K display panels. The first one is clearly a premium/high-end device with at least two versions (H8116 and H8166), featuring 2160 x 3840 pixel display and Android Oreo OS.

The devices won’t be bringing a huge change in the design as stated in some of the leaks earlier. Sony is sticking with 16:9 aspect ratio instead of going with 18:9 aspect ratio which many of the devices are reshaping themselves n 2018. The rumored “Mirai” aesthetic is expected to bring slimmer bezels and possibly more rounded corners that would be a major departure from the OmniBalance design.

Sony H81XX Flagship Series Surfaced Online:

This would make the Sony H81XX the successor of the XZ Premium and the third phone by the Japanese company with a 4K screen. It will likely be the first to bring the high resolution to a phone with minimal bezels, as Sony already confirmed it will be going in that direction in 2018.

The model numbers start with the letter “H” that’s indicative of them being meant for a 2018 release, much like Sony’s Xperia-branded smartphones launched over the course of this year had model numbers starting with an “F.” The newly uncovered UAProf listings also reveal that the H81XX lineup will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, presumably enhanced with Sony’s proprietary software suite.

Sony also appears to be working on a mid-range series known as the H82XX, with some industry watchers speculating this particular product family will succeed the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact. According to another set of recently spotted UAProf listings, the handsets bearing the model numbers H8216, H8266, H8276, and H8296 will also launch with Android 8.0 Oreo but feature regular FHD screens with a resolution of 1920X1,080 pixels.
