BCCI Announced Indian Squad: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad for the final two One Day Internationals. The BCCI selectors on Sunday included left-arm spinner Axar Patel in the Indian squad for the last two one-dayers of the ongoing series against Australia and dropped Ravindra Jadeja. Ravindra Jadeja, who was named as a backup in the side due to an injury to Axar Patel, was not named after the squad was trimmed down to 15 members.
Shikhar Dhawan, who had missed the first three games of the series against Australia due to a family emergency, was left out of the India cricket squad for the last two games of the series in Bangalore and Nagpur. Shikhar Dhawan had been released from the Indian cricket team and did not play in the first three games against Australia as the opener had requested for leave to attend to his wife Ayesha Mukherjee, who is unwell.
BCCI Announced Indian Squad for Final Two ODIs
Indian Cricket team has also surged to the top in ODI rankings after the series win over Australia. Virat Kohli’s side will be aiming to sustain their domination when they take on Australia in Bangalore on September 28 and in Nagpur on October 1. Ajinkya Rahane will be the opener for the final two ODIs as the hosts are looking to conquer Australia in the final two ODIs as well making a clean sweep.
