Review & Story Plot: Rajinikanth returns as the man lead, reprising his dual roles of scientist Vaseegaran and his android Chitti. Akshay Kumar is making his Tamil debut, playing the main antagonist. Amy Jackson replaces Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the female lead, and she is also playing an android. The movie also stars Sudhanshu Pandey, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Riyaz Khan and Adil Hussain.

2.0 is a message-oriented movie which talks about the usage of mobile phones and about radiation caused due to its usage. The story is relevant during a time when a country like India is witnessing an internet revolution. It is a multi-layered subject filled with twists and turns. Shankar is trying to talk about a battle between good vs evil. To stop Dr Richard (Akshay)’s mission, Dr Vaseegaran reassembles Chitti, the robot which was dismantled in the first installment, Enthiran – The Robot.

Performance: Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar have delivered electrifying performances, which are the highlights of 2.0. Amy Jackson has good scope acting and she has done a good job. Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Riyaz Khan have done justice to their roles and they are also among the assets of the film.

Technical: 2.0 has brilliant production values, which are on par with Hollywood standards. Stunning VFX, amazing 3D effects, picturization, background score, action choreography are the attractions on the technical front, add the viewers.

Verdict: On the whole, 2.0 is a visual extravaganza which makes you go wow in every which way. Be it the international level VFX, the action thrills between Rajini and Akshay, lavish sets and amazing action, this films is one hell of an experience for the viewers. The film has a very universal theme and will be like all over the country and break several records in the south. Barring the same old good vs evil concept and Akshay Kumar’s flashback, 2.0 is one film which should only be experienced on the big screen as scientific thrillers like these are very rarely made. What are you waiting for just book your tickets and watch the film with your family and have a whale of a time?
