Watch Video Bajrang Dal women perform aarti inside Taj Mahal mosque

In a shocking incident, a group of women from right-wing Hindu organizations on Saturday perform ‘Puja’ in the mosque located inside Taj Mahal in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra. The women were Meena Diwakar, the president of the women’s wing and two other activists. They took a video of the aarti and uploaded it on social media. The Archeological Survey of India and the Central Industrial Security Force are analyzing the video.

“If Muslims are being allowed to offer namaz here on all the days, then even we can do our puja at our Tejo Mahalaya,” said District president of the Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad, Meena Devi Diwakar.

President of the Taj Mahal Intejamia Committee Syed Ibrahim Hussain Zaidi, said, “it’s surprising that these women managed to carry matchbox or lighter along with dhoopbati inside the premises even when there is high security at the gates”.

This move by the women comes after a section of Muslims performed namaz at the iconic monument in Agra on November 13, Tuesday.

In July, the Supreme Court passed a judgment that locals can perform prayers inside the monument only on Friday afternoons. The head of Taj Mahal Intazamia Committee, Ibrahim Zaidi opposed the judgment saying that the Juma Namaz can only be performed if the namaz is done five times a day in a mosque.
